The Abilities Centre in Whitby, Ontario, is a 125,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility promoting inclusion for people of all ages and abilities. Recognized as an International Centre of Excellence, it offers accessible sports, fitness, arts, and life skills programs. Features include three regulation basketball courts, a six-lane 200m track, universally accessible fitness areas, and specialized rooms for sensory and therapeutic activities. Designed by B+H Architects, it hosted events like the 2015 Parapan Am Games and earned a 2013 IOC/IPC/IAKS Architectural Award. Located near Hwy 401 and Whitby GO Station, it fosters community engagement and accessibility.
